Ryan Kavanaugh, the American producer behind films such as “The Social Network” and “Whiplash,” has partnered with Triller to produce a new venture in the blockchain space. The company announced today that it will be entering the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) market through its partnership with Triller. Ryan Kavanaugh is no stranger to blockchain technology, being one of the first investors in Snapchat’s parent company Snap Inc., which went public last year.
Triller is an NFT production company that works with companies to create unique digital assets to be used in-app or on a blockchain. Triller’s parent company Coinsquare News, announces all major cryptocurrency news.
The two parties announced today that they are partnering together to make an NFT entitled “the key.” The key is a non-fungible token that can be used in any Triller app or on a blockchain. Ryan Kavanaugh’s company, Relativity Media, will join the Triller advisory board and will lead the creation of this AFT along with Coinsquare News.
In an interview with Coinsquare News when asked about his choice to enter the blockchain space again after being an early investor in Snapchat, Kavanaugh had this to say:
“I love this stuff – I’m a big believer that blockchain is going to fundamentally change our lives. In the entertainment business, we have been using technology for years now to try and crack what will be the next hit song or movie – it’s all about trying to come up with something that’s as good as gold. I think what blockchain does, allows you to take the idea of a ledger and contract and tokenize those assets so they can be easily spread across the world and go beyond borders. It opens it up for everybody – not just people with money.”
“Ryan Kavanaugh is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and has been an early adopter of disruptive technology. By bringing his expertise to the Triller platform, we’re confident that our users will be able to tell their stories better than ever before.”
